Could be cross-compatibility issue, some discussions point to ABBC or other extensions interfering with mChat, but may otherwise be OK. It might just need some experimentation on a test server.

I've tried mChat but no dice on PhpBB 3.3. I may have to downgrade to 3.2, also for compatibility with other lovely extensions. There's an extension that turns this into a social medium, complete with profile walls, user following and all. No, unfortunately not. There is a chat plugin enabled right now, I think you will have to login to see it, but it doesn't load for me. I'm keeping it enabled, though, as maybe the problem is on my end.
